      Description

      I have tried to reinstall and also tried deleting the options.ini file. I even tried to modify it but maybe I am typing the line in an incorrect format.

      I simply cannot use the software because it does not show the list of sources in advanced mode so I can choose one. I can choose d20 in the basic mode but even doing this, when I go to almost any tab besides summary, they are all empty and cannot do anything from this point on. I have gotten so far as to type a name, choose a race and class, assigning abilities and adding a level from the summary. I cannot get past this point.

      My installation dir is in C:\Program Files\PCGen\PCGen5164\data\d20ogl\srd35 and my data files are in I:\data\javier files\.pcgen

      How can I make this work?

      Thank you.

        Hi Javier,

        Windows 7 does not like how PCGen works, and our full recommendation is to NOT install in the default Program Files Directory. Instead place it in it's own folder, example would be c:\pcgen

        Once you do that, it should work just fine.

        I uninstalled it and manually removed my .pcgen folder and any remaining folders in Program Files

        I did a fresh install and it is still not working. I then replaced the forward slashes for backslashes as you can see below:
        pcgen.files.chosenCampaignSourcefiles=file\:/C\:/pcgen/PCGen5164/data/d20ogl/srd35/rsrd.pcc
        pcgen.files.chosenCampaignSourcefiles.35e=file\:/C\:/pcgen/PCGen5164/data/d20ogl/srd35/rsrd.pcc

        ....but it didn't work either.

        Not showing the list of sources sounds like you are using Java 7. If that is the case please install the latest Java 6 version.

        Can we hear an update from you Javier? Did James's suggestion work?
